Our Client operates microfinance programmes and institutions in 10 countries throughout the developing world. Operating in both rural and urban settings, the programmes have helped poor people from a variety of cultures to expand their incomes, improve their quality of life and become self-reliant.
The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership to ensure planning, oversights and continuous improvement of technology efforts and supporting the long term strategic plan of the bank.
You will be accountable to manage and oversee all aspects of the bank’s network, systems and technology infrastructure.
Reporting directly to the CEO, you will possess the ability to proactively monitor and analyse the current technology infrastructure to ensure it aligns with the business and their strategic plans.
You will work closely with senior officers, external vendors and initiative leads to ensure optimum allocation and utilization of technology resources to support the company’s strategic roadmap.
Demonstrate the ability to provide direction, leadership and coaching to IT staff and possess strong collaborative skills across the entire organization.
In addition, the successful candidate must stay abreast of not only new technology to support strategic goals but also stay current on industry challenges and technology disrupters
Working knowledge of banking institutions.
Experience with both in-house and shared or outsourced systems, multiple hardware platforms, and integrated information and communication systems.
Knowledgeable and experience in core banking system such as Oracle and FlexCube.
Previous experience interpreting a strategic vision into an operational model.
Knowledgeable and experience in vendor management including contract review, performance management, and successful contract negotiation.
You must demonstrate an ability to be comfortable in a fluid environment, self-direct, work flexibly and be creative.
Have excellent analytical, critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills.
You must display leadership capabilities to ensure becoming a central component of a high performing team.
