Our client is a multinational gold mining company who require an expat Maintenance Manager, who will report directly into the GM Operations. The Maintenance Manager is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing and managing various maintenance sections within the Maintenance department of a gold mine located in Senegal. This role requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in maintenance management, with a focus on ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of critical infrastructure, equipment, and facilities.

It carries the profound responsibility of overseeing and orchestrating a constellation of vital maintenance sub-sections, each constituting a pivotal facet in the intricate mosaic of mining operations.
This role, adorned with senior leadership distinction, exists to ensure the seamless operation of maintenance disciplines extending across a diverse spectrum, encompassing Vulcanizing, Domestic and Industrial Electricity, Infrastructure Management, Mechanical Maintenance, LV and Mobile Equipment Oversight, Maintenance Planning, Rigging Services, and Boiler making. With a comprehensive purview, it champions the perpetual reliability, safety, and efficiency of indispensable industrial equipment, intricate electrical systems, and critical infrastructure components.
The Maintenance Manager undertakes the stewardship of an accomplished team of maintenance professionals, including engineers, technicians, and auxiliary support staff, ushering them toward the pinnacle of performance. Requirements: Qualification and Skill
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
- Substantial experience in maintenance management, in industrial or mining settings, is essential.
- At least 10 years or more relevant experience.
- Previous experience to deputize for General Manager will be an added advantage
- Experience with Crushers, Sizers, SAG and Ball Malls
- Conveyor belt repair and maintenance
- High computer skills and fluent in all the main Microsoft suits including Excel, Word, Project, and Access
- Practical supervision of maintenance teams in a process plant environment of at least 10 years
- In-depth technical knowledge of maintenance practices, procedures, and technologies related to mining equipment, electrical systems, mechanical systems, and infrastructure is required
- Familiarity with maintenance planning and scheduling software and methodologies is an advantage
- French highly beneficial but not prerequisite
