Our client is a drilling contractor who are currently seeking a qualified and experienced On-Site Trainer with a focus on mining operations to join their team at their client’s Underground Drilling Operations in Limpopo.
The ideal candidate will be a registered assessor with proven expertise in developing and delivering training programs within the mining industry. The primary responsibility of the On-Site Trainer is to ensure that employees are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to perform their roles safely and efficiently.
- Design, develop, and update training programs for employees in line with industry standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure training content is current and relevant.
- Conduct on-site training sessions for employees, including both theoretical and practical components.
- Utilize effective training methodologies to engage participants and enhance learning outcomes.
- Serve as a registered assessor to assess and evaluate employees' competence in accordance with relevant qualifications and standards.
- Provide constructive feedback to employees to support their ongoing development.
- Ensure that all training activities comply with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Incorporate safety procedures into training programs and reinforce a culture of safety among trainees.
- Maintain accurate records of training activities, assessments, and employee progress.
- Prepare and submit reports as required by regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in training programs and delivery methods.
- Stay informed about industry developments and integrate relevant updates into training materials.
Requirements: Qualification and Skill
- Registered Assessor qualification.
- Proven experience as a trainer in the mining industry.
- Familiarity with relevant mining regulations and safety standards.
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and training methodologies.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
