We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Process Superintendent to oversee our lithium operation. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in plant operations and a strong background in metallurgy or chemical engineering. You will be responsible for managing and optimizing the processing operations, ensuring that production targets are met efficiently and safely.


  • Oversee and manage all aspects of the processing operations to ensure optimal performance.
  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve production targets and improve plant efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and promote a culture of safety within the plant.
  • Supervise and mentor plant metallurgists and other technical staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Monitor and analyze processing data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including maintenance and quality control, to ensure seamless plant operations.
  • Prepare and manage the processing department's budget, controlling costs and optimizing resource allocation.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve overall plant performance.
  • Ensure effective maintenance programs are in place to minimize downtime and extend the life of processing equipment.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and technological advancements to maintain the plant's competitive edge.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Relevant Business Management qualification will be an advantage.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in plant operations, with at least 2 years as a Plant Metallurgist.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with a proven track record of managing and developing teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of processing operations, including production processes, maintenance, and quality control.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for process management and data analysis.
  • Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations and best practices.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets and control operational costs.
  • Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on driving efficiency and productivity.
